Scientific Thinking

1. Science is a method of investigating nature - a way of knowing about nature -- that discovers reliable knowledge about it. In other words, science is a method of discovering reliable knowledge about nature.

2. When one uses the scientific method to study or investigate nature or the universe, one is practicing scientific thinking. But scientific thinking is not reserved solely for scientists. Anyone can "think like a scientist" who learns the scientific method and, most importantly, applies its precepts, whether he or she is investigating nature or not.

3. The scientific method has proven to be the most reliable and successful method of thinking in human history, and it is quite possible to use scientific thinking in other human endeavors.

4. Science is the pursuit of truth, and the systematizing of it.

5. Thus I believe the method of science can be used as a way of thinking to bring us closer to the truth, and to solve many problems.

A Better Future by Design, Knowledge & Technology

1. I believe the world can be a better place through the applications of knowledge, sciences and technologies by design.

2. If we look back into history, the world has advanced tremendously because of the discoveries of new knowledge through scientific methods throughout the ages - and various nations & civilizations benefited from this through the applications of technologies. Areas in communication, transportation, engineering, manufacturing, and many others all benefit from the advancements in science & technologies. For example, today we are able to communicate with anyone in the world at anytime because of advances in communication technologies - enabled through the research & development of various sciences. The Internet, smartphones, communication systems, and various other inventions are just a few of the inventions we benefit from today.

3. "The method of science" - I believe is applicable not only specific to the realms of scientific innovation,  but it I think it can be applied in all areas of life. For instance, the scientific method of thinking, research and discovery can be applied in various other areas including in economics, politics, social development, nation building, education, business and various other areas.

4. Science & technology can be used towards problem solving so we can build a better way of life and a better future. Through the scientific method of thinking we can approach any problem in a more systematic & effective way.

5. A nation without a vision of what the future can be is bound to repeat past errors. Therefore, it is vital to at least have a vision & plan of a better future for everyone.

6. Science & technology could be used for human betterment, restoration and protection of the environment.

7. Today, we have arrived at a time when new advancements & innovations in science and technology can easily provide abundance to all of the world's people. Nevertheless, the world is still backwards in various areas - such as political practices, social systems, and economy - which ultimately leads to hunger, war, disease and environmental damage.

8. A better future by design through the approach of science & application of technology in all areas of life is thus important, which present the limitless possibilities of a evolving society towards a more harmonious future.
